Springwell Solar Farm is a proposed new solar farm with battery storage that would provide enough clean, secure energy to power over 180,000* homes each year – the equivalent of half the homes in Lincolnshire.
Springwell is classed as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) because it would generate over 50 megawatts of electricity. This means we need to apply for a special type of planning consent called a Development Consent Order (DCO) to build and operate it.
We consulted on our updated plans and proposals for Springwell between 11 January and 22 February 2024. The feedback we have received, along with further environmental assessments and technical work, will help us to refine our proposals ahead of submitting our DCO application.
You can find out more about our updated proposals by reading the materials we have published as part of our previous stage of consultation.
